Get Fit 4 Ramadan Week 2

We all know that according to prophetic traditions, our bodies have rights over us. Rest & Recovery are just as important as the workout itself. While it's great putting in major time at the gym or on the pavement, we must not tire ourselves to the point of exhaustion where we can't complete that which is obligatory. If that late night gym routine has you hitting the snooze button at Fajr, it's time to re-assess the workout plan.

Fortunately for us, today is a REST day if you are following our suggested plan.

You may have heard the nutrition and car analogy. Your body, very much like a car needs "fuel".  We get fuel in the form of food. This fuel in turn becomes energy the body uses to help sustain your activity. The more often you use your car or longer the distance you drive, the more you'll have to refuel it. Very much like when you run for longer distances you'll need to eat more. However, the TYPE of fuel you put into your engine is just as important. You wouldn't put diesel fuel into your Camry! Below are some fueling tips for training or event day runs to encourage efficiency.
